In November 2022, we unveiled a vibrant 8kW on-grid solar rooftop power plant at Mahilashram , Lanja, in Ratnagiri District redefining sustainable energy. Spanning 800 square feet, this system boasts 24 high-efficiency Polycrystalline Novasys Green Energy solar panels, churning out 10,000–11,000 units of electricity yearly. Integrated with the national grid, it powers living rooms, computers, lighting, ensuring seamless operations with clean energy.
The environmental impact is profound, reducing carbon emissions by 8–9 tons annually, akin to planting 350 trees. By cutting dependence on fossil fuels, the system supports India’s renewable energy mission while fostering a greener Lanja. This 8kW plant is more than an energy solution; it’s a catalyst for change, empowering the institution with energy independence and showcasing sustainability in action. Scorpion Solar’s project illuminates a path to a cleaner, brighter future, proving that rooftops can power progress and protect the planet.
